Firmware update for Tridonic SceneCOM S – DALI-2 system solution

The SceneCOM S from Tridonic is a powerful DALI-2 system solution for intelligent lighting control.

Arendi has developed a secure and user-friendly BLE firmware update solution for Tridonic, enabling customers to easily update their SceneCOM S DALI-2 systems via a smartphone app – for maximum flexibility, reduced maintenance costs and the highest level of security.

Initial situation, goals & challenges

The product features two processors – one for BLE communication and one for DALI communication and lighting control. The key challenge was to make the firmware of both processors 100% fail-safe and reprogrammable via BLE. This required a solution that not only ensures secure data transmission but also reliably manages the complex update process for two different processor architectures.

Project results & customer benefits

The result was a secure BLE firmware update solution for the SceneCOM S DALI-2 controller, which updates both processors via a smartphone app. Tridonic benefited from Arendis' many years of experience with firmware update solutions, guaranteeing a reliable and future-proof solution.
