Development of the Condair MN, room humidification system with CANOpen
The Condair MN is an innovative humidification system with discreetly integrated nebulizers that ensures optimal humidity, quiet operation and convenient control via wall module or app.
After several years of internal development work, Condair decided to bring in an external partner to continue the project. Arendi then developed the complete electronics and firmware of the MN System for Condair – including system architecture, CAN communication with up to 127 nodes, water treatment electronics and sensor integration – thus creating the technical basis for a modern, networked humidification solution.

Initial situation, goals & challenges
Founded in 1948 and headquartered in Switzerland, the Condair Group is the world market leader in humidification and a leading manufacturer of dehumidification and evaporative cooling systems. With the MN System, Condair planned a completely new, patented humidification system based on a mesh nebulization technology, designed to meet the highest demands for comfort, energy efficiency, and connectivity. The goal was to develop a fully integrated solution with networked control of all components – from the nebulizer and sensors to the water treatment system. The challenge lay in developing all the electronics, firmware, and communication architecture from scratch and connecting them via a complex CAN/CANopen network with up to 127 nodes per spray loop – including app and cloud connectivity – without being able to rely on existing platforms.
Project results & customer benefits
Arendi implemented the complete electronics and firmware for the Condair MN System for Condair – including CANopen-based networking, sensor integration, and cloud gateway connectivity. This provided Condair with a technically sophisticated, scalable platform for an innovative humidification system, without requiring them to develop their own resources for complex embedded and communication development.

Implemented solution
Arendi designed and developed the complete electronics and firmware for Condair's MN HumiLife system. The solution encompasses the system architecture, control and CANopen networking of all components such as sprayheads, sensors, and water treatment units, as well as the integration of app communication and connection to a cloud gateway. Arendi supported the electronics development through to industrialization, handled all hardware approvals, including radio and CANopen, and managed firmware maintenance.
