Easier configuration thanks to Bluetooth LE

The Steinel Smart Remote allows a fast and easy configuration of all Steinel Products with an IR interface. All parameters are adjusted in the app and then transferred to the motion detectors or lamps with a push of a button.
The Smart Remote is compatible with the existing (unidirectional) products. But an even better customer experience is possible in conjunction with the new Steinel products featuring a bidirectional IR interface. This makes it possible to first download the existing configuration, modify it and then send it back.
Tasks
- Develop the Smart Remote HW with a BLE module from Fujitsu
- Definition of the Bluetooth smart service, profile and attribute
- Firmware design and implementation (BLE module and energy micro)
- App design and implementation for iOS and Android
Platform
- iOS and Android app based on the Xamarin platform
- Firmware on a ARM based Nordic chip set and Energy Micro for IR protocols
